Summer 2026 update

Dear Patients East Point Dental,

We hope you are all enjoying a fabulous summer!
Our team wanted to reach out with some news and a reminder for those using the CDCP.

Exciting Baby News!

A Special Announcement About Upcoming Maternity Leave for Dr. Nicholson

Dr. Nicholson will be taking maternity leave beginning in September. During this time, there may be some delays in appointments, follow-up care, or response times as we adjust our scheduling and clinical coverage.

We will continue to triage all patient concerns appropriately, with urgent and emergent matters prioritized to ensure timely care. If you have a concern that requires immediate attention, please contact our office so that we can determine the most appropriate course of action.

Our priority is to ensure that your dental care continues as smoothly as possible during this transition.
At this time, we are also not accepting new patients. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we navigate this temporary change in availability.

Thanks in advance for your understanding as we support our associate during this important time for her and her family.

Dr. Scichilone and our entire team remain committed, as always, to maintain the high standard of care your have come to expect from our practice.

CDCP Patients: Please Remember to Renew Your Coverage

If you are enrolled in the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP), please ensure that your coverage is renewed and active before your next appointment. This plan does not renew on its own. Each benefit period ends on June 30, so you must confirm your details annually to keep your benefits active without a break.

Eligibility and coverage are subject to the CDCP’s current requirements.

If your CDCP coverage has expired or is not active at the time of your appointment, you will be responsible for any dental fees not covered by the plan. We encourage patients to confirm their coverage status in advance to avoid unexpected out-of-pocket expenses.

Thank you for helping us ensure your coverage information is up to date.

Thank you for your continued support and for trusting our team with your dental care. We truly appreciate the opportunity to care for you and your families.

Wishing you all a wonderful rest of the summer—enjoy the sunshine, make the most of the season, and stay smiling!

Warmly,
The Team at East Point Dental
