Dr. Tara (Avery) Scichilone
Dentist
Dr. Tara (Avery) Scichilone graduated from UNBSJ with her BSc in 1999, before pursuing her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at Dalhousie University in 2003. Dr. Tara has been caring for patients in Saint John and the surrounding areas since 2003 and has fulfilled her personal dream of starting her own family dental clinic with the opening of East Point Dental in 2020. Originally from Newfoundland, Dr. Scichilone has lived coast to coast but considers New Brunswick home since her move back following her dental education. Dr. Tara and her husband Joe have two children, Avery and Dominic and one spoiled black lab. She is an active member of the Canadian Dental Association, the New Brunswick Dental Association, and the Saint John Dental Society. When not helping restore smiles, you are likely to find Dr. Tara on the softball field in the spring and summer with her daughter or in a rink with her son in the fall and winter. She enjoys travelling, reading, cooking, cheering for the Montreal Canadiens and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Alexa Nicholson
Dentist
Dr. Alexa Nicholson was born and raised in Saint John and attended St. Francis Xavier University, where she received her BSc in Biology with a minor in Economics. Following her undergraduate degree, Dr. Nicholson completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Dalhousie University in 2023. Although she thoroughly enjoyed her 8 years in Nova Scotia, she is happy to be back in New Brunswick caring for patients in her hometown. During her time at Dalhousie, Alexa completed an elective in dental public health, through which she worked closely with underprivileged populations to provide dental care and education, and to promote proper oral care practices. Alexa is looking forward to implementing the skills she learned to promote oral care in the Saint John community.
When not in the office, Alexa loves to be outside, whether sailing on the Kennebecasis, skiing or hiking with her dogs, she can be found outside during any season. When the weather isn’t so nice, Alexa enjoys baking and painting. Alexa is excited to be home in Saint John and is looking forward to meeting new patients in the community.

Melissa graduated from NBCC in Saint John in 2014 with a certification in Executive Office Administration and has been working in the dental field over the last few years. Melissa loves making patients feel at home and hopes to share her welcoming smile and professional experience with all current and future patients at East Point Dental. She and her husband have two beautiful children and spend their spare time watching their son play hockey and making family memories.

Mackenzie graduated from Oulton College with her diploma in Dental Hygiene in 2021. She is committed to providing her patient with the best care and building connections with them. From the young age of 3, and still today, she continues her passion for being a competitive dancer. She also enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her golden retriever Rosie!

At home, Megan enjoys life with her husband, their identical twin boys, and their one-eyed dog. She is very active and loves to run, play hockey, garden and treasures time spent with family and friends.

Outside of the dental clinic, Tracy loves spending time with her beautiful family enjoying the outdoors, travelling and trying to keep up with a wild toddler!
